Dr O P Gupta. Ph.D. (Finance) from Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi is currently the Director of IBS, Gurgaon. Prof. Gupta joined IBS Gurgaon in April 2003 as a Professor and was made Dean in October 2004. Later, in December 2005, Professor Gupta was promoted as Dean and Centre Head. In March 2006, he was elevated to the position of Director of the School.

He is having a teaching and research experience of over fifty years. Before joining IBS Gurgaon, he was a Professor of Finance at the Department of Financial Studies, University of Delhi, South Campus, New Delhi. Earlier he was also the Head of the Department of Financial Studies and Dean Faculty of Commerce & Business, University of Delhi. Prof. Gupta was instrumental in conceptualizing and designing of the Master of Finance & Control (MFC) Programme which was launched in 1987 at the South Campus. The program is now being offered by the Department of Financial Studies at the South Campus, University of Delhi.

Prof. Gupta had been a visiting Fellow at the Maison des Sciences de l’ Homme, Paris during May-June 1998. During 1994-97, Prof. Gupta was on deputation as a Founder Director to Hindu Institute of Management, Sonepat. He was also a Visiting Faculty at Department of Business Administration, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria during 1982-85.

Prof. Gupta has presented research papers at several International Seminars and Conferences held at Australia, U.K. Japan, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and Thailand. He has contributed more than forty research papers in journals of repute both in India and abroad. He has seven books and seven monographs to his credit. He has also completed a Major UGC sponsored research project on “Investment Performance of Mutual funds in India in 1999. An Empirical Study.” He has also conducted several training programmes in India and abroad.

He had been on the Board of Directors of Delhi Stock Exchange for over three years as a P.R Director nominated by SEBI during 1990-94. He has also served as a P.R Director nominated by SEBI on the Board of Directors of DSE Financial Services Ltd.

Prof. Gupta has widely travelled both nationally as well as internationally.

Faisal is an alumnus of Class of 2003 of IBS Gurgaon. He joined ICICI InfoTech Ltd. as an executive in sales department. In year 2004, he became Account Manager and is responsible for Business Development in Northern Region. He later Joined Leading ERP Solution Provider SAP India Pvt. Ltd as an Alliance Manager and is responsible for Channel Management. He loves to travel and Drive. He wants to establish his own business in his home town Lucknow and contribute towards the development of his State. He gives all Credit to his Mother for his Success

Tamal Dutta Chowdhury , IBS Gurgaon Class of 2000

Tamal was hired from campus by GE Capital for their India Bank Cards Division. He then moved to two start-ups & grew to management ranks. Next he joined Oracle to manage their ERP Receivables team for Europe, Middle-east & Africa. Finally, he joined his present organization Unisys where he looks after the entire internal Enterprise Applications Practice & heads the Global SA Division in India. His team is involved in Global Delivery of ERP, Supply Chain, Knowledge Management, Business Intelligence, Professional Services & other IT assignments. He is also a qualified PMP from PMI, USA & a Mathematical Statistician.

Tamal enjoys playing cricket (he is the captain of his corporate cricket team), watching Clint Eastwood’s spaghetti westerns, esoteric & Vedic astrology, tarot-reading, quizzing, and traveling, and meditation & reading management books. His interests include Project & Portfolio management, IT consulting and Quality.
