IBS® , Hyderabad is a constituent of The ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education, which has been in existence for over a decade, has excellent infrastructure, reputed faculty members, and outstanding intellectual resources. The institute strives continuously towards achieving excellence. Apart from pursuing academic excellence, IBS® Hyderabad encourages students and faculty members to undertake a number of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. In all activities, the center thrives on challenges and truly believes that each success is only a journey and not the final destination.

Facilities

  • The IBS® Hyderabad campus is spread over 100 acres, and is located about 25 kms from the city.

  • The academic block consists of classrooms, lecture theatres, conference halls, computer center, learning center, faculty offices, the Career Management Center, Seminar Hall, etc.

  • IBS® Hyderabad is a fully residential campus with single accomodation for all PG students.

  • Faculty residences are under construction and will be ready by the end of 2007.

  • The IBS® Hyderabad library has more than 55,000 books, business journals/magazines, both international and national, and more than 400 CD-ROMs and videotapes.

  • All students are provided with wired and wireless internet facility.

  • The IT lab is equipped with the latest software and hardware.

  • IBS® Hyderabad has subscriptions to various online databases like EBSCO, Prowess, Capitaline and Reuters Business insight.

Intellectual Capital

IBS® Hyderabad has a large pool of faculty members coming from diverse fields with a unique blend of academic, research and industrial experience. Faculty members are involved in research and consultancy activities besides teaching. In addition, many eminent professionals academicians, and CEOs have visited our campus and appreciated our endeavors in grooming the managers of tomorrow.

At IBS® Hyderabad, the faculty members play a key role in delivering quality education through the interactive case study method, continuous evaluation, guiding and counseling. They bring in their knowledge and experience in providing advanced education to the students. Faculty members participate in various research, FDP and MDP activities to enhance their knowledge and industry awareness. All the full-time and visiting faculty members have good academic as well as industry experience. Apart from teaching, faculty members are actively involved in conducting and participating in various international and national seminars/conferences. They regularly publish papers and articles in international and national journals and magazines. Faculty at IBS® Hyderabad also edit the following Icfai University publications:

The Journal of Applied Finance: A monthly finance journal that showcases empirical research in applied finance.

The Journal of Behavioral Finance: A quarterly journal that focuses on behavioral economics, behavior of markets, behavioral aspects influencing investment decisions of managers, etc.

The Journal of Supply Chain Management: A quarterly journal that focuses on purchasing, manufacturing, 3PL, e-procurement, e-manufacturing, reverse supply chain inventory, etc.

The Journal of Applied Economics: A bi-monthly journal that analyzes issues in micro, macro, development and energy economics

The Journal of Managerial Economics: A quarterly journal focusing on managerial decision-making from all functional areas of economics.

The Journal of Operations Management: A quarterly journal focusing on inventory control, Suply Chain Management, Enterprise Resource Planning, etc.

The Journal of Organizational Behavior: A quarterly journal focusing on organization design, job, performance, motivation & satisfaction, work-life balance, group dynamics and leadership.

The Journal of Corporate Governance: A quarterly journal focusing on governance & ethics framework, role of boards, role of CEOs, CFOs and other senior management, role of other stakeholders, etc.

Frequent industry visits by students and guest lectures by eminent people drawn from industry keep the students updated with the latest practices in management.

The curriculum of the courses is revised continuously to meet the changing industry needs. IBS® Hyderabad jointly develops courses with the corporate world for example, with Deloitte Consulting for courseware on US Taxation and with ICICI Bank for material on wealth management.
