Library

The library at IBS^® Pune is well-stocked, containing over 4,000 books related to Finance, Marketing, Information Technology and General Management, in addition to reference materials, Indian and international journals, magazines and research reports. A corporate information database is available, which is continuously updated with the help of reports of the Center for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE). In addition, industry reports and statistical computations which provide timely and concise information for research and project work are also available.

Students of IBS^® Pune also have access to the EBSCO Business Source Premier database with full-text articles from the world's top management journals like Harvard Business Review, Sloan Management Review, Management Science, British Journal of Management etc.

Conference Room/Auditorium

The conference room is open to all the students for various activities such as case study and group discussions, presentations etc.

Teaching Aids

The campus is equipped with the latest audio-visual aids to make classroom learning more effective. Screenings of videos on management topics in each functional area are organized periodically to add to classroom inputs.

Computer Lab

IBS^® provides the necessary infrastructure to meet the computing needs of all the students and for the training needs of information technology related courses. The lab is equipped with powerful servers and multiple terminals enabling a client-server environment, in addition to the latest software packages. The lab remains open 12 hours a day for the students. An internet connection is also provided to the students which assists them in their continuous search for knowledge.  

As at other IBS^® campuses, IBS^® Pune too believes that budding managers need to express and learn through co- and extra-curricular activities. These include treks, sports tournaments, and matches and competitions at the local centers.

ZEAL, the students’ annual event, includes dances, singing, face painting, lamp decoration, mehndi competition, debates and discussion forums.

Activities like exposure trips to the home-for-the-aged and orphanages have also become a part of the life at IBS^® Pune. All national festivals are also celebrated at the campus.

Besides this, the creative avenues of the students are channelized through the magazine and newsletter Prerna.

A much sought after annual event at the IBS^® Pune is the annual "Yes! Finance Minister" conference. The event is conducted with active participation from the students.
 

The IBS^® supplements its curriculum with training in soft skills that provides a unique opportunity for students and develop their personalities, and upgrade their communication and presentation skills. Through these activities, students get acquainted with leadership roles, and team building and interpersonal skills.

This training is done using applied behavioral sciences methodologies, through various exercises and role plays. We use the experiential mode of learning, besides focusing on theoretical learning.

• A seminar on "Corporate Social Responsibility – A Boon or a Bane" was held in January 2006.

• Management Fest – "Zeal" in January 2006.

• "Yes! Finance Minister" – A seminar on the Union Budget 2006 was organized in March 2006.

• An "International Friendship Evening" was organized in December, 2005.

• Two-day seminar on "Technology Management and Human Engineering" was held in July, 2005.

• Half-day seminar on "Can Indian Economy Sustain A High Growth Period?" was organized in August 2005.
