The Application Modalities are with reference to IBSAT® 2007, the Common Aptitude Test for the Programs of IBS® namely the 2-year MBA Program at all campuses and the 1-year Executive PG Program at Hyderabad.

IBSAT® : IBSAT® is based on GMAT® format with multiple choice questions and tests the applicant’s abilities in quantitative techniques, data adequacy, vocabulary, writing skills, analytical reasoning and reading comprehension.

Selection Process

The selection process comprises of IBSAT® and interviews. Applicants are required to appear and qualify the IBSAT® 2007. Alternatively, GMAT® scores are also accepted by IBS®. The GMAT® code number of IBS® is 7061. The applicants short-listed on the basis of their performance in the IBSAT® 2007/GMAT® score are called for the interviews. The students shortlisted for interviews will be supplied with a copy of the prospectus and the application material.

Last Date for Application

The last date for receipt of completed OMR Application Form is November 20, 2007.

All applicants are advised to adhere to the last date prescribed for the submission of the application form so that necessary arrangements can be made for conducting IBSAT® 2007. Please submit the Application Form as early as possible to improve the chances of getting the test center of your choice.

GMAT®

Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT)®: Applicants with GMAT® scores are not required to apply through the OMR Application Form. Instead they are required to download the Personal Data Form (PDF) from the website (or request PDF from Admissions Department, Hyderabad), complete the same, attach the GMAT® score report and send it to the Admissions Officer, IBS® HQ Admissions Department, #13/17, Nagarjuna Hills, Punjagutta, Hyderabad-500082 on or before December 20, 2007.

Online Registration

Applicants interested in registering for the IBSAT® 2007 can fill up the online Registration Form available at www.ibsindia.org/ibsat and make payment of Rs.1,000 towards cost of IBSAT® 2007 Bulletin, using credit card (Visa/MasterCard/Citibank Card) through secure internet payment gateway and the Bulletin will be sent to them.

Applicants registering online should attach their scanned color photograph along with the online application.

Download of Application Form

Alternatively, applicants may download the Application Form, complete it and send it to The Admissions Officer, IBS® HQ Admissions Department, 13/17, Nagarjuna Hills, Punjagutta, Hyderabad - 500082 along with demand draft for Rs.1,000 towards cost of IBSAT® 2007 Bulletin, (demand draft should be drawn in favor of "Icfai University Common Fund A/c IBSAT 2007" payable at Hyderabad) and the same will be sent to them.

Online Admit Card

All applicants who have submitted their filled in Application Form for IBSAT® 2007 are eligible to download Online Admit Cards. Students can download their Admit Cards from www.ibsindia.org/ibsat, using the application number and date of birth as user name and password respectively from November 20, 2007 onwards. The online admit card will carry the photo, name, address, roll number of the applicant, and the test date, timings and details of the test center. No hard copies of Admit Cards will be sent. The admit card is not transferable. Impersonation is a punishable offence under law.

109 Test Centers all over India

The applicants can choose any one of the test centers available for IBSAT® 2007. The list of all the 109 test centers is provided on page 6. Please note that requests for change of test center will not be entertained under normal circumstances. In the event of not having enough seats at the requested test center, applicants will be allotted the nearest alternative center, under intimation to them through e-mail. IBS® HQ Admissions department reserves the right to add or delete a few test centers depending upon the situation. The same will be intimated on www.ibsindia.org/ibsat for the benefit of applicants.

Selection Briefings at 40 cities in Jan 2008

IBS® conducts the selection briefings for the benefit of those students, who are invited to attend the interviews, at 40 cities across the country during January 2008, to clarify various aspects relating to the interview process, financial aid and placements at IBS®. All shortlisted applicants are invited to attend these selection briefings along with their parents. The schedule and venues of the selection briefings will be intimated later.

Interviews at Hyderabad in Feb 2008

The applicants shortlisted on the basis of their performance in IBSAT® 2007/GMAT® score will be called for participation in the interview by IBS® between February 4-18, 2008. The interview process for each applicant will be completed in one day. However applicants who opt for both programs (based on 3 years of work experience) will be required to attend interviews on two consecutive days. The interview call letters will be mailed by IBS® on or before January 03, 2008.

E-Mail

All applicants are mandatorily required to indicate their e-mail ID, as all important information relating to IBSAT® 2007 will be intimated to the applicants by e-mail.

Similarly all applicants are required to send their letters/ correspondence by e-mail only to: ibsat@ibsindia.org clearly indicating their names and Application Number of IBSAT® 2007.

Strict ban against Canvassing/Recommendations

All admissions are strictly based on merit only. There is no NRI quota or management quota or any other quota. Hence, the students and their parents are strictly advised not to resort to any canvassing, directly or indirectly, to support their applications. Canvassing in any form is strictly prohibited and will be considered as a serious disqualification.
