Summer Placements
The students at IBS are put through the paces of corporate life from Day One on campus. To enhance their learning, multiple industry interfaces are available through IBS itself. The most important of these is the Summer Internship Program (SIP), which is approximately 14 weeks in duration.
A summer internship with a corporate is an ideal ground for students to test their learning from the first year. They are expected to work on a project that provides significant learning for them while also adding value to the corporate entity they work with.
The summer internship is considered an integral part of the curriculum. Students are in constant touch with both faculty members on campus and mentors in their workplace, who act as guides and monitor their progress. Such focus on creating value from summer internships—a rarity elsewhere—is a distinctive feature of IBS campuses.
